The design
Front — the before
A flock circling, small and quiet, printed at the chest. This is the feed: everyone moving together, going nowhere.
Back — the after
A spiked chain mid-shatter, running up the shoulder. One bird out. It reads like it happened to the shirt, not like it was printed on it.
Stencil-rendered and kept rough on purpose. Each unit is numbered at the hem.
Why we're doing this
We came out of big tech. We watched hardware get harder to open, software get harder to leave, and everything get easier to subscribe to and harder to own.
This project is our working exit: clothes fund hardware, hardware runs software we publish, and every step gets documented in public — including the failures.
What this shirt pays for
The run funds the first cyberdeck cases: a standardized 3D-printed chassis that mounts inside upcycled shells — old camcorders, dead electronics, whatever deserves a second life. Reliable inside, one-of-one outside.
Sold later as finished units, bare kits, and free downloadable files. The build starts when the shirts ship. Follow it in the log.
